What is the use of Social Media Analytics?

• We are witnessing paradigm shift in people’s perspective/place of opinion. There used to be a time when people used to call up customer care team to register their complaints, now people are writing on social media about the problem they have faced about the services or products. If brands are not tracking their mentions on social media, they will be missing out on crucial consumer insights.

Social media analytics-The myths!

• You don’t need to be a techie person, to get an understanding of social media analytics. But to excel in this field, it’s good to have a knowledge on R/Python.
• I will cover the topics such as How to analyse social media conversation, sentiment analytics, bucketing the conversation etc.
• Tools used for social media analytics.
• It’s not a rocket science, but it’s better to have a business understanding before jumping into analytics.

Organisations are paying to the analytics company to get a temperature check of their brand, campaign effectiveness, content effectiveness, product level study etc. But ultimatum the brand needs key insights which are actionable.

There are no hard and fast rule for generating actionable insights. There are no structured guidelines available. All conversations are unstructured, it’s the researcher analytical mindset which drives the whole report.
